From Dr. Jennifer Sarrett:
I am passionate about driving meaningful change at the intersection of health equity, disability justice, and mental health. With over 15 years of experience spanning global health, qualitative research, and social impact, I have worked to promote inclusion and address disparities through my roles in academic, nonprofit, and consultancy spaces.
I earned my PhD from Emory University in 2014, where I specialized in bioethics, medical anthropology, and disability studies, focusing on the social determinants of health. As a faculty member at Emory, I taught and conducted research on health equity, further building my expertise in advocacy and policy analysis.
In my work at CARE, I have led global initiatives to improve health outcomes in collaboration with ministries of health and communities across the globe, empowering community health workers and co-creating solutions in high-need areas.
I’m committed to making a tangible impact on the health and wellbeing of marginalized communities and building a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
